Hailing from Tallahassee, Florida, Ayesha Hussain has established herself as one of the premier henna artists in the panhandle. Starting at the age of fourteen, she got involved with henna by doodling on herself while she got bored in her math class her freshman year so she wouldn’t fall asleep in class. Since then, she has channeled that creativity into all sorts of facets in her life and all sorts of canvases spanning more than just the skin and paper.
In the summer of 2005, Ayesha went along with Erika Harrison of Amerikan Body Art to henna at the Atlanta, Orlando and Pompano Beach Warped Tour shows as a body art vendor. Summer of 2007, she was the youngest participant in the 3rd annual Vegas Conference sponsored by HennaPage.com, where over 60 people from around the world met up to teach and learn more about the sacred art of body adornment.

In the summer of 2008, she went to Starrucca, PA in order to become a summer camp counselor at Camp Island Lake. She taught children from ages 7-16 not only how to do henna, but how to construct their own designs and how to be creative. She called Starrucca home for over 2 months and taught hundreds of people about constructing their own designs and racked up 400 hours of teaching experience. Since then she has established classes teaching people how to create their own designs in Tallahassee.

Now at FSU, Ayesha still continues to do henna whenever she gets the chance in between studying for classes and participating in the FSU Flying High Circus. Right now, she is a Senior and hopes to achieve a major in Biology in the pre-medical path and has a minor in Chemistry and Psychology. What happens after that is a mystery. The Florida State University Flying High Circus is one of two collegiate circuses in the nation. The Flying High Circus performs on the first three weekends of April, in which Ayesha has recently been a part of since 2006, performing Hanging Perch, Hand Balancing, Fire Poi and Spanish Web.
